The Jacksonville City Council approved collective bargaining agreements with the Jacksonville Fire Fighters Captains’ Committee and the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local No. 399, at a recent meeting.

Both agreements required little discussion and were passed unanimously. The first agreement will run through Dec. 31, 2019, and the second one through Dec. 31, 2020.

The council also approved an ordinance amending the city code on alcohol permits, reducing the total allowed to be issued in the city by one to 45.

The council also approved a proposal for a demolition at 464 S. East St.

Under the consent agenda, the council authorized the renewal agreement for concessions at the Links Golf Course and authorized payment to Penn Valley Pump Co. for a sludge pump at the Jacksonville Wastewater Treatment plant for $25,283.
