The Pittsville City Council approved the parade route for the June 4 Relay for Life event at a recent meeting.

The council also approved a change in the employee handbook to allow a larger work-apparel allowance and voted to allow the Illinois Department of Natural Resources to move forward with a plan to stock Pittsfield Lake with fish.

The council also voted to accept the recommendation of Max Middendorf of MECO Engineering to advertise for bids on the new firehouse this month on three plan rooms: Springfield IG Square Foot, Greater Peoria Contractors’ Association and Southern Illinois Builders’ Association, with a bid opening of March 10.

The motion was seconded and passed unanimously.
