The Godfrey Village Board approved an appointment to the Capital Projects Committee, authorized funding for Shred-it Day on June 18 and considered an ordinance for amending the village building code at a meeting this week.

Other agenda items included consideration of a plan to seek bids for surplus inventory, as well as a lease at LaVista Park with Community Cultivators. The board also considered an ordinance that would name a street within the village “Benson Lane.”

The board examined standing committee reports from the Public Safety and Finance committees and advisory committee reports from the Parks and Recreation, Planning and Zoning, Special Projects Sewer, Godfrey Climate Protection and Energy Efficiency, and Capital Projects committees.
