The Jerseyville City Council met Tuesday to approve a Wal-Mart fundraiser for the Children's Miracle Network on May 7 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the intersection of State Highways 67 and 16.
The rain date will be May 14.
The council also approved a request from the Marine Corps to hold a fundraiser to benefit the Wounded Marines on May 21 from a.m. to 4 p.m. at the same Wal-Mart.
The council meets at 115 E. Prairie St.
