The Greenville City Council held a special meeting April 7 to discuss trash collection concerns.

The meeting gave council membes an opportunity to see how automated trash pickup service works and to review the change in service proposed by the current contractor.

The city council also issued a request for proposals for sidewalk repair.

The city of Greenville operates under a managerial form of government. The mayor and council members are elected at-large to four-year terms alternating every two years.
