Chicago schools spend 45 percent more than Carrollton CUSD 1

Operational spending at Carrollton Grade School in Greene is 45 percent less than the average Chicago public school.

Carrollton Grade School is in the Carrollton CUSD 1 school district, where operational spending is $8,278 per year, per student.

In the Chicago Public School District (CPS), the average school spends $15,120 per year, per student.

The number of students per classroom at Carrollton Grade School is actually fewer than at CPS. At Carrollton Grade School, there are 20 students per classroom, while at CPS there are 24.
