Jacksonville schools promote Lovdahl to Lincoln Elementary principal

The Jacksonville School District 117 Board of Education met March 16 to approve the promotion of Mary Sue Lovdahl from North Elementary School kindergarten teacher to Lincoln Elementary School principal starting July 1.

The board also approved Maureen Agner's retirement; accepted the resignations of Tiffany Hickox (co-coach for the JHS J’ettes), Griffin Maly (co-coach for JHS J’ettes), and Kelsey Lohman (elementary music teacher); and OK'd leaves of absence for Tayler Howard (secretary), Dawn Trusler (paraprofessionall), Cathy Tobin (teacher), Gerald Love (custodian), Carolyn Heaton (food services), Jennifer Hicks (parent educator) and Andrea Cully (paraprofessiona).

Stipend were approved for Raelene Lawless (Turner girls assistant track coach) and Evan Wells (Turner boys head track coach.

Three teachers had contracts that were not renewed, and a fourth teacher had her salary reconciled. 

The Jacksonville School District 117 board is headed by Noel Beard.
