The Jerseyville City Council met April 26 to approve the proclamation naming the first weekends of May and August “Got Faith to Feed & Inspire the Hungry” weekends by raising money through numerous merchant discounts, giveaways and extra special donations to local churches.
The motion was carried unanimously.
The council also approved over $538,000 in bill payments, approved a proclamation naming May 1-7 Municipal Clerks Week; approved regulations for the city dump site; and approved a water purchase contract between the city of Jerseyville and the village of Fieldon.
