Jersey CSD Board of Education hosts closed session

The Jersey Community School District 100 Board of Education met Sept. 20 to host a closed session.

Here are the meeting's minutes, as provided by the board:

Board of Education Special Meeting Open Session September 12, 2016 5:30 P.M.

The special meeting of the Board of Education of Community Unit School District No. 100 was held Monday, September 12, 2016 in the office of the Board of Education. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 P.M. by Sherry Droste, Vice President. Other members present were: Stan Kary, Secretary; Terrie Kallal, Peggy Perdun, and William Yamnitz. Board President Ed Test and member Julie Pohlman were absent. Also present were Dr. Lori Franke-Hopkins, Superintendent; Mr. Alan Churchman, District Administrator; Mrs. Lisa Schuenke, Director of Finance and Human Resources; Mary Schell, Early Childhood Director and Principal, West Elementary and Mrs. Debbie Trochuck, Unit Secretary.

The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance.

PUBLIC PARTICIPATION None

A motion was made by Kary, seconded by Perdun to move to closed session. On roll call, Droste, yes; Kallal, yes; Kary, yes; Perdun, yes; Yamnitz, yes. Motion carried.

The board moved to closed session at 6:03 P.M.

The board returned from closed session at 6:42 P.M.

A motion was made by Kary, seconded by Kallal to resume open session. On roll call, Kallal, yes; Kary, yes; Perdun, yes; Yamnitz, yes; Droste, yes.

ACTION AS A RESULT OF CLOSED SESSION None

A motion to adjourn was made by Kallal, seconded by Kary. An aye or nay vote was taken with all in favor, none opposed. Motion carried.

The special board meeting of September 12, 2016 was adjourned at 6:42 P.M.
