City of Macomb Committee of the Whole Council met May 22.

Here is the agenda provided by the Committee:

Roll Call

Public Comments-

1.Discussion and second reading on an ordinance to create a Class P plus EH liquor license for Keshav Liquor Inc. d/b/a West Pierce Liquor.

This ordinance had first reading last Monday night. City Attorney Petrie will give second reading and discussion.

2.Discussion on the professional engineering services agreement with Maurer-Stutz for the City of Macomb Water Facilities Study.

Attached is a memo from Interim PW Director Cox with a copy of the agreement for your review. Discussion is planned.

3.Discussion on an ordinance to amend Sections 15-164,15-166 and 15-216 of the Municipal code of Macomb to amend the location of stop signs, yield indicators and handicapped parking for the Downtown Square.

A copy of the ordinance is attached for your review along with a copy of the map. Discussion is planned.

4.Discussion on the landscaping for the four middle islands on the Downtown Square.

Attached is a memo from Downtown Development Director Kristin Terry for your review along with a sketch of the island. Discussion is planned.

5.Discussion on the recondition of Springview Hills Lift Station #3.

Attached is a memo from Interim PW Director Cox along with a copy of the quote for your review. Discussion is planned.

6.Other business.

Executive Session-

To consider information relative to:

a) Appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of an employee of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(1) of the Open Meetings Act.

b)Collective Bargaining matters between the public body and it’s employees or representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(2) of the Open Meetings Act.

c) The purchase or lease of real property for the use of the public body, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(5) of the Open Meetings Act.

d)The setting of a price for sale or lease of property owned by the public body, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(6) of the Open Meetings Act.

e) Pending or probable litigation, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(11) of the Open Meetings Act.
