City of Macomb Committee of the Whole met June 26.

Here is the agenda provided by the Committee:

Public Comments

1.Discussion on a proposal for the Demand Response.

Transportation Director Nathan Cobb will be present to update the council. Discussion is planned.

2.Discussion on change orders for the Downtown Square revitalization.

City Administrator Torreson will update the council and distribute information at the meeting. Discussion is planned.

3.Discussion on partnering with a private company to provide ambulance service for McDonough County.

City Administrator Torreson will provide information at the meeting. Discussion is planned.

4.Discussion on an ordinance to amend Section 1-13 of the Municipal Code to provide for lower administrative ticket fines for two code provisions.

This ordinance had first reading last Monday night and further discussion is planned.

5.Discussion on an ordinance to amend Section 15-53 of the Municipal Code of Macomb to create subsections and provide for lower administrative fines for these subsections.

This ordinance had first reading last Monday night and further discussion is planned.

6.Other business.

Executive Session

To consider information relative to:

a) Appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of an employee of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(1) of the Open Meetings Act.

b)Collective Bargaining matters between the public body and it’s employees or representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(2) of the Open Meetings Act.

c) The purchase or lease of real property for the use of the public body, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(5) of the Open Meetings Act.

d)The setting of a price for sale or lease of property owned by the public body, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(6) of the Open Meetings Act.

e) Pending or probable litigation, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(11) of the Open Meetings Act.
