McDonough County ESDA and CLAIMS Committee met June 20.

Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:

The ESDA & Claims Committee held its monthly meeting on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, 3rd Floor Law Library. Committee members present were Chairman Trevor Toland, Larry Aurelio, Letha Clark, Richard Marcott, Paul Trimmer Dave Nissen, Earl Sims and County Board Chairman Scott Schwerer. Others present were ESDA Director Dan Kreps and County Clerk Gretchen DeJaynes.

Chairman Toland called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Approval of May 16, 2017 Minutes

Member Aurelio moved with a second by Member Clark to approve the May 16, 2017 minutes as submitted.

Motion carried on a voice vote.

ESDA Director Report

ESDA Director Dan Kreps presented the monthly report. Director Kreps and WGEM were at Hy-Vee programming weather radios. A table top meeting was held at the Health Department. Director Kreps participated in a table top exercise with the National Guard and will have the full exercise Friday.

The weather radar is working however we are using a temporary power supply until ours gets fixed. At that point in time Director Kreps will begin working with WIU to get the radar online.

So discussing was held on the effect of the ambulance change as it pertains to emergency situations.

Approval of Claims

Member Sims moved with a second by Member Nissen to approve the claims as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Member Aurelio moved with second by Member Sims to adjourn the meeting. With no further business to discuss the meeting was adjourned at 7:39 p.m.
