Pleasant Hill FPD responds to 28 fires in 2016

Pleasant Hill Fire Protection District responded to 29 calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the West Central Reporter.

The calls in Pleasant Hill included 28 fires - five structure fires, six vehicle fires and 16 other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $105,000 in fire loss - or about $3,750 per fire.

The department also received one false call.
