Davila, whose career at WIO spans more than two decades, will be honored at a retirement reception Dec. 18 in the third-floor auditorium of Sherman Hall, a university press release said.

Davila became financial aid assistant director in 2016. A high point of Davila’s career was her 2008 selection as Civil Service Employee of the Month, an honor she received because of her “diligence and dedication to getting the job done efficiently and accurately," according to the release.

Davila, who worked her way up from records officer with the registrar’s office, also held numerous positions in information technology with the university.
