Emergency Services –

Motion to recommend to the City Council to approve three-year Service Agreement for the Taylorville Fire Department generator with Altorfer for $1,199.00

Motion to recommend to the City Council to approve the purchase of four new regulator sets and a single Buoyancy Competency Device from Scuba Sport at a cost of $2,925.00

Motion to recommend to the City Council to direct Fire Chief Crews to proceed with repairs to Engine 1, with ATI Services of Illinois LLC, at a cost no to exceed $2,279.78

Motion to allow Fire Chief Crews to lease a truck while repairs are being completed to Engine 1, if the need arises, at a cost not to exceed $12,900.00

Personnel –

Motion to recommend to the City Council to allow Superintendent Wiseman to bid and/or advertise the Office Level I position in the Street and Sewer Department at the beginning of January Water/Environmental –

Motion to recommend to the City Council to authorize and direct the Mayor to sign Pay Request #5 from Plocher Construction in the amount of $1,334,250.00 for work on the New Water Treatment Plant and forward the request to IEPA Low Interest Loan Program for disbursement and approve payment of same pending receipt of disbursement from IEPA, this conditioned upon receipt of signed mechanics lien waivers in this amount and recommendation by the Project Engineer that the work has been satisfactorily performed

Motion to recommend to the City Council to pay Benton & Associates $115,163.55 for work performed related to the construction of the New Water Treatment Plant from October 15, 2017 through November 25, 2017

Motion to recommend to the City Council to pay Clark-Dietz in the amount of $9,580.00 for work performed related to the construction of the New Water Treatment Plant from September 30, 2017 through November 24, 2017

Motion to recommend to the City Council to pay Dickinson Hussman in the amount of $2,264.65 for work performed related to the construction of the New Water Treatment Plant from November 1, 2017 through November 30, 2017

Motion to recommend to the City Council to allow Superintendent Speagle to purchase Liquid Aluminum Sulfate from Chemtrade Chemicals in the amount of $406.99 per dry ton

Motion to recommend to the City Council to allow Superintendent Speagle to purchase Liquid Chlorine from Brenntag Mid-South in the amount of $510.00 per ton

Motion to recommend to the City Council to allow Superintendent Speagle to purchase CO2 from ILMO in the amount of $393.00 per ton

Motion to recommend to the City Council to allow Superintendent Speagle to purchase Carbon from Brenntag Mid-South in the amount of $0.89 per lb

Motion to recommend to the City Council to allow Superintendent Speagle to purchase Hydrofluosilicic Acid from Brenntag Mid-South in the amount of $0.3495 per lb

Motion to recommend to the City Council to allow Superintendent Speagle to waive the tapping fees for two properties currently using private wells in City limits

Motion to recommend to the City Council to accept the draft policy for handling water bill complaints

Lake/Airport –

Motion to recommend to the City Council to have Mayor Barry and Lake Superintendent Jackson work with City Attorney Romano to move forward and look at the options for dredging of Lake Taylorville in the area of Owaneco Blacktop and Cherokee Road

Motion to approve and/or ratify payment of bills ($1,018,695.04)
