Village of Hopedale Board met Nov. 20.
Here is the minutes provided by the Board:
Mayor Eilts called the meeting to order. Trustees Gale, Mohr, Schmitgall, Myers and Wittrig were present, Trustee Springer was absent.
Trustee Mohr moved to approve the minutes of the November 6, 2017 meeting. Seconded by Trustee Myers. Motion carried.
Trustee Schmitgall stated he had talked to Ragan Communication regarding the storm siren. They recommended that we not upgrade to a new system as the one we have is still good, it just needs 2 new speakers.
Trustee Schmitgall will get prices on the speakers for next meeting.
Trustee Wittrig moved to pay the monthly bills in the following amounts: General Fund $17,233.95, Street Lighting $1,399.04, Civil Defense $38.14, Water $17,907.58, Sewer $4,144.30, for a total of $40,723.01. Seconded by Trustee Myers. Motion carried on a roll call vote with Trustees Gale, Wittrig, Myers, Mohr and Schmitgall voting aye.
Trustee Wittrig moved to approve the treasurer’s reports for September and October. Seconded by Trustee Myers. Motion carried.
Mayor Eilts stated he will get with John Birkey to get a general overview of what streets need seal coating for next year.
Trustee Myers moved to adjourn. Seconded by Trustee Schmitgall.
Motion carried.
