Triopia Community Unit School District 27 students suspended 12 times in a single school year

Triopia Community Unit School District 27 reported 12 suspensions for 2016-17, according to the latest student discipline report by the Illinois State Board of Education.

According to the report, the district expelled or suspended 12 students during the year. That equates to 3.4 percent of the 357 students enrolled.

Of the 11 in-school suspensions, all were given to boys.

The district reported that most in-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons. The category includes eight incidents. There were one incidents of drugs. For 11 incidents, students were suspended for a day or less.
