Analysis: Macomb pays $5.19 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Macomb Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 83.8 percent of the $1,006,413 the Macomb Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $5.19 for every $1 from pension members, according to a West Central Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Macomb contributed $843,339 to the fund, which saw a $44,268 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $162,324, or 16.1 percent, in 2018. Another $750 came from other unspecified sources.
