Report: Southeastern School District spent $12,612 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Southeastern Community Unit School District 337 was up 7.3 percent from five years ago, according to the West Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Hancock County school district spent $11,757 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $12,612 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 524 to 450 students over the same period.

Southeastern's spending in 2019-20 was 13 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
