City of Bushnell City Council met Nov. 6.

*City Treasurer Betsy Rench stated the City got $64,042.00 from insurance claims from the June 29th storm.
Consent Agenda
Ald. Yocum made a motion to approve the consent agenda which includes.
1. Approval of Minutes from October 16, 2023
2. Approve September Financial report
3. Approve and Pay October Bills.
Ald. Norton seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

Where upon Mayor Wilt declared the motion carried.
Personnel/Finance/Budget
*Nothing to report
Public Works
*Bob White rescinded his bid for the sidewalk work, Laveridere will be doing the work at a cost of $18,450.00. A general consensus was taken and was agreed on.
*Marcus Hess will be taking the sledge and spreading it at a cost of $49,696.75.
*They are stenciling the water tower, then painting the stencil and painting the top, then it will be ready to fill.
*Complex building repairs – they only received one bid from Veterans Construction.
*The gas department will be selling the old gas truck, it is a 2007 F250 w/plow.
Police/Liquor/ESDA
*The Christmas light parade will be December 2, with a rain date of December 9th @ 6:00
*Interim Police Chief Justin Hood is gathering information of Body Cams and dash cams.
*The council asked the police department to start turning in an activity report.
*The City is in need of a crossing guard for the East side school
*The City also needs to hire another police officer.
*Jeff Rench with ESDA reported he met with a FEMA rep. for about 5 hours, discussing the debris removal, they have 60 days to get all the information in.
*There will be an Opioid Education class at the firehouse on November 21, 2023
Real Estate/Parks/Recreation
*There is new signage up at the Rec. Center, walkers are now required to pay a fee of $10.00 a month.
*The park district approved the easement for the Splash park.
Engineering Report
*The lead service grant application has been submitted for $40,000
Economic Development
*Nothing to report
