The Amended Budget Hearing of the Carthage E.S.D. #317 Board of Education was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Board President Luke Burling.

Roll Call: Dillon Darbyshire/absent; Drew Dickerson/present; Jason Gunning/absent; Amy Graham/present; Jacob Murphy/present; Luke Burling/present; Robert Menn/absent.

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all in attendance.

The Board reviewed the proposed Amended Budget. There were no individuals present wishing to address the Board regarding the Amended Budget.

Mr. Darbyshire arrived at 7:02 p.m.

It was moved by Mr. Graham and seconded by Mr. Dickerson to adjourn the amended budget hearing at 7:02 p.m. Roll Call: Mr. Darbyshire/yes; Mr. Dickerson/yes; Mr. Gunning/absent; Mrs. Graham/yes; Mr. Murphy/yes; Mr. Burling/yes; Mr. Menn/absent. Motion carried 5-0.

The regular meeting of the Carthage E.S.D. #317 Board of Education was called to order at 7:03 p.m. by Board President Luke Burling.

There were no additional agenda items to add.

Administrative Reports – Mr. Day and Mr. Scott reviewed their reports. Mrs. Jacoby was not present.

It was moved by Mrs. Graham and seconded by Mr. Murphy to approve the consent agenda as presented. Roll Call: Mr. Darbyshire/yes; Mr. Dickerson/yes; Mr. Gunning/absent; Mrs. Graham/yes; Mr. Murphy/yes; Mr. Burling/yes; Mr. Menn/absent. Motion carried 5-0.

Joint Annual Conference – Registration and housing/train reservations have been made for those who plan to attend.

It was moved by Mrs. Graham and seconded by Mr. Dickerson to approve the FY22 amended budget as presented. Roll Call: Mr. Darbyshire/yes; Mr. Dickerson/yes; Mr. Gunning/absent; Mrs. Graham/yes; Mr. Murphy/yes; Mr. Burling/yes; Mr. Menn/absent. Motion carried 5-0.

It was moved by Mr. Darbyshire and seconded by Mr. Dickerson to approve the 2022-23 middle school handbook changes as presented. Roll Call: Mr. Darbyshire/yes; Mr. Dickerson/yes; Mr. Gunning/absent; Mrs. Graham/yes; Mr. Murphy/yes; Mr. Burling/yes; Mr. Menn/absent. Motion carried 5-0.

It was moved by Mr. Murphy and seconded by Mrs. Graham to to declare the items listed as surplus: 57 monitors, 37 keyboard & mice combos, 11 mice, 19 keyboards, 1 printer, 58 chairs, 11 white tables, 13 brown tables, 34 mousepads, 9 Acer laptops & chargers. Roll Call: Mr. Darbyshire/yes; Mr. Dickerson/yes; Mr. Gunning/absent; Mrs. Graham/yes; Mr. Murphy/yes; Mr. Burling/yes; Mr. Menn/absent. Motion carried 5-0.

It was moved by Mr. Darbyshire and seconded by Mr. Dickerson to enter into executive session at 7:08 p.m. for the purpose of discussing personnel. Roll Call: Mr. Darbyshire/yes; Mr. Dickerson/yes; Mr. Gunning/absent; Mrs. Graham/yes; Mr. Murphy/yes; Mr. Burling/yes; Mr. Menn/absent. Motion carried 5-0.

It was moved by Mr. Dickerson and seconded by Mr. Darbyshire to exit executive session at 8:20 p.m. Roll Call: Mr. Darbyshire/yes; Mr. Dickerson/yes; Mr. Gunning/absent; Mrs. Graham/yes; Mr. Murphy/yes; Mr. Burling/yes; Mr. Menn/absent. Motion carried 5-0.

It was moved by Mr. Darbyshire and seconded by Mrs. Graham to approve the following increases to officials pay effective FY23:

5th & 6th grade Volleyball increase from $55.00 to $80.00.

5th & 6th grade Basketball increase from $55.00 to $80.00.

7th & 8th Volleyball increase from $60.00 to $80.00.

7th & 8th Basketball increase from $65.00 to $85.00.

Baseball (1 Game) increase from $75.00 to $80.00.

Baseball (A & B Game) increase from $100.00 to $130.00.

Baseball (Double Header) increase from $125.00 to $150.00.

Track Starters increase from $100.00 to $125.00.
