The emergency meeting of the Carthage E.S.D. #317 Board of Education was called to  order at 6:00 p.m. by Board President Brent Ufkes.  

Pledge of Allegiance was recited. 

Roll call: Drew Dickerson/present; Jason Gunning/present; Amy Graham/present; Brent  Ufkes/present; Luke Burling/present; Robert Menn/absent; Dillon Darbyshire/present. 

There were no additional agenda items. 

Comments were heard from the following visitors: Audrey Hall, Steve Lucie and Brianne  Skien. 

Discussion – February 4, 2022 court ruling on temporary restraining order concerning the  Carthage ESD #317 case #500002. 

It was moved by Mr. Dickerson and seconded by Mr. Ufkes to enter into executive  session at 7:08 p.m. for the purpose of discussing Litigation, when an action against,  affecting, or on behalf of the particular public body has been filed and is pending before a  court or administrative tribunal, or when the public body finds than an action is probable  or imminent, in which case the basis for the finding must be recorded and entered into the  minutes of the closed meeting. Roll call: Mr. Dickerson/yes; Mr. Gunning/yes; Mrs.  Graham/yes; Mr. Ufkes/yes; Mr. Burling/yes; Mr. Menn/absent; Mr. Darbyshire/yes.  Motion carried 6-0. 

It was moved by Mr. Gunning and seconded by Mr. Dickerson to exit executive session  at 8:00 p.m. Roll call: Mr. Dickerson/yes; Mr. Gunning/yes; Mrs. Graham/yes; Mr. Ufkes/yes; Mr. Burling/yes; Mr. Menn/absent; Mr. Darbyshire/yes. Motion carried 6-0. 

It was moved by Mr. Burling and seconded by Mr. Dickerson to approve the revised  return to learn plan for the 2021-22 school year as presented. Roll call: Mr.  Dickerson/yes; Mr. Gunning/yes; Mrs. Graham/yes; Mr. Ufkes/yes; Mr. Burling/yes; Mr.  Menn/absent; Mr. Darbyshire/yes. Motion carried 6-0. 

It was moved by Mr. Ufkes and seconded by Mr. Dickerson to adjourn the meeting at  8:04 p.m. Roll call: Mr. Dickerson/yes; Mr. Gunning/yes; Mrs. Graham/yes; Mr. Ufkes/yes; Mr. Burling/yes; Mr. Menn/absent; Mr. Darbyshire/yes. Motion carried 6-0.
