Sophomore pitcher Libby Spaulding has been named Ohio Valley Conference Co-Pitcher of the Week after her performance during Western Illinois University Leathernecks Women’s Softball’s weekend series at Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
Spaulding pitched nine innings over two appearances, allowing only one run and striking out 13 batters. She recorded a complete-game shutout in game two, leading the Leathernecks to an 8-0 win.
Western Illinois University Leathernecks Women’s Softball competes in NCAA Division I athletics as part of the Ohio Valley Conference.
