McDonough County Board ESDA & Claims Committee met April 19.

The ESDA & Claims Committee held its monthly meeting at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Courtroom 201. Committee Members present were Chair Dave Nissen, Vice Chair Julie Melvin, Larry Aurelio, Letha Clark, Ken Durkin, Joe Erlandson, and Dick Marcott. Member Craig Foster was absent. Also present was ESDA Director Edgar Rodriguez, Patrick Stout, County Board Chair Scott Schwerer, and County Clerk Gretchen DeJaynes.
Chair Nissen called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Approval of March 15, 2022 Minutes
Member Durkin moved with a second by Member Melvin to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
ESDA Director Report
Director Edgar Rodriguez gave the report. Rodriguez informed the Committee that in May he will speak to the schools about emergency management. He is working to get additional support for the EOC center, he also explained the process for the emergency siren testing.
Approval of Committee Claims
Member Aurelio moved with a second by Vice Chair Melvin, to approve the claims as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Approval of County Claims
Member Erlandson moved with a second by Member Clark, to approve the claims as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Vice Chair Melvin moved with a second by Member Aurelio to adjourn the meeting at 7:27 p.m. Motion carried on a voice vote.
