At a recent meeting, the Jacksonville Public Library Board examined the director’s report on major library events and found that several were quite successful.

The report said a recent Music Under the Dome concert was the most-attended of the season, with 70 people enjoying the guitar and harp guitar playing by Muriel Anderson, a finger-style guitarist.

The director’s report also made note of a film screening of "Fire in the Blood" that went well, part of the Humanities Film Series, in partnership with MacMurray College and Illinois College. Paul Fuller, an assistant professor of sociology at Illinois College, introduced the film and led a post-film discussion.
