Tom Long, Chairman, of the Community Planning, Economic Development and Infrastructure Committee of the Village of Godfrey called the Special meeting to order at 6:15 p.m., November 9, 2016, at the Godfrey Village Hall, 6810 Godfrey Road, Godfrey, Illinois.
ROLL CALL: Present: Tom Long, Karen McAtee, Absent: Jim Mager, Linda Wheaton, Monica Bristow, Jennifer Russell Sharon O’Neal and Mark Stewart
No Quorum
William Catalano, Director of Economic Development and Brand Marketing, addressed the following agenda items.
East-West Gateway Council of Government “GREAT STREETS” Program – Godfrey Road Participation/Application Chairman Long recommended taking this consideration to the Finance Committee. Retail Market Analysis/Study – Update (Buxton or PGAV) Mr. Catalano recommended that the Village enter into an agreement for an update and match up sites for development for the Village at a cost of $50,000
Business District Expansion – Update (Possible Formation of BD #2) Mr. Catalano reported on the possible formation of a second Business District for the location of development from Lars Hoffman Crossing and Pierce Lane/Airport Road.
Enterprise Zone Application – Update Mr. Catalano reported the Enterprise Zone Application will be filed by December 1, 2016.
Business Recognition (in conjunction with Village’s 25th Anniversary) Discussion on Business Recognition will revisit at a later meeting.
Godfrey Branded Shirt/Name Badge Purchases Mr. Catalano reported that Shirts and name badge were being considered for Employees.
Godfrey Branded Marketing Items Mr. Catalano will ask the Finance Committee for funding to purchase Branding items for give away.
Chairman Long adjourned the meeting at 6:40 p.m.
