Petitions

By the following organization requesting permission to conduct a raffle and have the bond requirement waived: Knights of Columbus from now through 8/30/17; St. Peter Church from now through 8/26/17; and Adams County Farm Bureau Foundation from now through 8/10/17. The City Clerk recommends approval of the permits.

The District and the Blues in the District Committee requesting permission to close Maine, 4th to 5th, on July 14th from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. They also request to waive the sound ordinance. Barricades are requested.

The District and the Blues in the District Committee/J & M Displays requesting permission to hold a fireworks display(proximate pyrotechnic) on July 14th at Washington Park at the end of the concert. The Quincy Fire Department has given their approval.

A revocable permit application for encroachment of city right-of-way by Lavish Floral Designs, 103 North 10th, to place three planters on the sidewalk in front of 103 and 107 N. 10th. The Director of Utilities & Engineering presents this request subject to five conditions.

Utilities & Engineering Director and Central Services Committee recommending approval of the low bid of Diamond Construction in the amount of $540,043.10 for the 2017 Motor Fuel Tax Funds Asphalt Maintenance Program

Utilities & Engineering Director and Central Services Committee recommending approval of the quote of Midwest Meter Inc., Edinburg, IL, in the amount of $56,293.45 for the meter replacement program.

Central Services Director and Central Services Committee recommending approval of the quote for purchase of a used 2013 420R IT Caterpillar backhoe with 1114 hours from Altorfer, Palmyra, MO, in the amount of $67,390.

Fire Aldermanic Committee and Fire Chief recommending the purchase seven sets of bunker gear for the total amount of $11,823 from Sentinel Emergency Solutions.

Utilities & Engineering Director recommending approval of the proposal from Dave Dieker Transport Inc. for the cost of.08 per gallon for removal and hauling leachate from landfill.

Utilities & Engineering Director, Utilities Committee and Central Services Committee recommending approval of the proposal from Luby Equipment in amount of $52,500 for mini excavator.

Utilities & Engineering Director and Utilities Committee recommending approval of the low bid from D&L Excavating, Liberty, IL in the amount of $310,726 for new sewage lift station to serve the new Kohl Wholesale distribution warehouse on Highway 57.

Utilities & Engineering Director and Utilities Committee recommending the invoice in the amount of $72,500 from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency for the renewal of the NPDES Permit.
