AUSTIN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: Early Voting Happening Now

Election

Austin Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on March 18.

Early voting for the April 2 run-off elections in Chicago started Monday, March 18 and runs through April 1, according to officials with the Chicago Board of Elections. The Loop Super Site has been open every day since March 15.

"Any ballots that voters cast in Early Voting are final," city election officials stated. "After casting ballots in Early Voting, voters may not return to amend, change or undo a ballot for any reason. It is a felony to vote more than once — or to attempt to vote more than once — in the same election."

Voters are not required to have a government-issued photo ID; however, it is helpful if election judges have questions about matters like registration or place of residence.

"Any voter who needs to register for the first time or file an address update or a name change must show two forms of ID, one of which shows the voter's current address," officials explained.
