The price of local government in 2017: Scott County

The Scott County budget was $11.36 million for its 2017 fiscal year.

That's a decrease of 2.7 percent from 2016, when the county spent $11.67 million.

Since 2001, the Scott County budget has grown by 41.8 percent, from $8.01 million. The county population has fallen 10.5 percent over the same period, from 5,644.
