The Western Illinois women's golf team is set to participate in the Big O Classic, scheduled for October 2-3 at the Oak Hills Country Club in Omaha, Nebraska. The course will challenge participants with its par 73 layout over 6,088 yards.

In their previous outing at the Brittany Kelly Classic on September 19, Western Illinois finished in 13th place. Senior Natalie Hooper led her team by shooting +14 overall. Her performance was highlighted by two birdies and a final nine-hole score of -1 on day one. On the second day, she achieved three more birdies and ended with a score of +1 (73).

Senior Olivia Kerr also had a notable performance during the third round at the Brittany Kelly Classic. She started strong with back-to-back birdies and completed the round with a score of +1 (73) after maintaining par on most holes despite an early double bogey.

Both seniors aim to continue their momentum from this season into the upcoming tournament. Last year at the Big O Classic, Natalie Hooper shot +18 (237), while Olivia Kerr finished with +31 (250).

The competition includes teams from Creighton, Idaho State, Missouri State, Montana, Northern Colorado, Omaha, St. Thomas, South Dakota State, UNI, UTRGV, Western Illinois itself and Wichita State.

Western Illinois' starting lineup features Natalie Hooper as number one followed by Olivia Kerr in second position. Other team members include Makayla Mussatto in third place; Abby Hunter fourth; Hannah Butler fifth; and Gabriela Galindo Rubio participating independently.
