Western Illinois University's women's golf team is set to begin their fall season at the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial tournament in Springfield, Missouri. The event will take place from September 11 to 12.

The team welcomes back several key players from last season, including Natalie Hooper and Olivia Kerr. Both golfers participated in every match for the Leathernecks last year, with Hooper notably finishing third at the WIU Intercollegiate at TPC Deere Run.

Joining the squad this year is Olivia McCrystal, a transfer from the University of Cincinnati. McCrystal brings international experience to the team, having won the U21 Seapoint Scratch Cup and represented Ireland in various championships and events.

The tournament will be held over three rounds at Rivercut Golf Course, a par 72 course with a total yardage of 6,282 yards. The first two rounds are scheduled for September 11, followed by the final round on September 12.

Competing teams include Wichita State, Missouri State, Loyola Chicago, Omaha, Wyoming, UTEP, California Baptist, Austin Peay, Lindenwood, TX A&M Corpus Christi, Oklahoma City, Drury, Creighton, Houston Christian, Oral Roberts and Southern Illinois.

Western Illinois' starting lineup features Natalie Hooper in position one followed by Olivia McCrystal. Makayla Mussatto takes the third spot with Gaby Galindo Rubio and Olivia Kerr completing the lineup. Mia Scrimgeour will compete as an individual.
