The Western Illinois women's golf team concluded their participation in the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial tournament on Tuesday. The Leathernecks secured 16th place out of a field of 17 teams.

Natalie Hooper led the team's performance, finishing in 59th place. Hooper showed particular strength during the second round on the front nine, achieving three birdies in six holes to finish one under par for that segment. Over the course of the 54-hole event, she accumulated eight birdies.

Olivia McCrystal made her debut with Western Illinois, tying for 72nd place. McCrystal maintained consistent play throughout all three rounds, posting an overall score of +8 each time. The Northern Ireland native recorded five birdies during the tournament.

The team will next compete at the Brittany Kelly Classic on September 18 and 19.
