Memorial Hospital is observing Diabetes Awareness Month in November by hosting a community health screening event. The screening will take place on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the Memorial Hospital Health & Wellness Center Conference Room.
The event offers preventive health services for $25 per person. Services include A1c testing, lipid panel, body composition analysis using a Tanita scale, and vision screenings. Attendees are advised to fast for 10–12 hours before their appointment to ensure accurate test results. After the screening, participants can have a complimentary breakfast at the hospital’s Courtyard Café.
Appointments are limited to two people per session and will be available from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM. Early registration is recommended through the hospital’s website at MHTLC.ORG.
Memorial Hospital also provides a Diabetes Self-Management Education & Support (DSMES) program at its Health & Wellness Center. This program aims to help individuals with diabetes or pre-diabetes manage their condition through education and ongoing support.
“Diabetes is a lifelong journey, but it doesn’t have to be one you travel alone,” said Kayce Fuhrman, Director of Diabetes Services at Memorial Hospital. “Education and early intervention make a tremendous difference. Whether you’re newly diagnosed, at risk, or simply want to learn more, our goal is to provide the tools and support needed to help you live your healthiest life.”
For more information about diabetes services or registration for the screening event, individuals can call 217-357-6540 or visit MHTLC.ORG.
