Western Illinois University Athletics has announced that Arnie Grunert has been recognized as a 2025 Men’s Track and Field All-Academic Athlete. Grunert was the sole representative from Western Illinois University to achieve this honor.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete status, athletes are required to maintain a GPA of 3.25 or higher during the current academic year of 2024-25.
Western Illinois University’s men’s and women’s cross country teams both finished second at the Huskie Classic, according to results released Friday.
The Western Illinois University cross country team will begin its season on Friday by participating in the Northern Illinois Huskie Classic in DeKalb.
Western Illinois University’s football team will travel to Evanston, Illinois, to face Northwestern on Friday, September 5 at Martin Stadium.
