Western Illinois University’s women’s basketball team has achieved a notable academic milestone. The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) has released its 2024-25 Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll, placing the Leathernecks in fourth position nationally with a GPA of 3.775.

This recognition honors NCAA Division I women’s basketball programs for their academic achievements. Eligibility requires teams to maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and be nominated by their head coach.
