The council voted unanimously to authorize Hayden to sign the electric aggregation agreement at the Feb. 24 bid meeting. Under his report, the mayor updated the council on the Irving building. The first buyer had fallen through, but there was another interested party.
Hayden also reported that work on the old water plant will continue in March.
Free banners and website placement are being offered to nonprofit businesses by a company that offered free banners in 2006. The banners will be offered to the Fire Department, library and other city service providers.
Finally, the council tabled an amendment to the building code. Zoning and Building Permit Administrator Tom Reinhardt and other staff members requested more time to read and review the modifications. The decision on the Hobbs, McCartney and McCartney subdivision plat was also tabled.
