Jerseyville City Council considers tourism grant for Ainad Shrine Circus

The Jerseyville City Council considered a $500 tourism grant for the Ainad Shrine Circus during a meeting this week.

The council also considered a request to hold the Shriners Paper Drive on Saturday, Sept., 17, at 109 and County Road.

The council also examined and discussed the MFT 2016 municipal estimate of maintenance costs and the 2016 resolution for maintenance of streets and highways.

The council also considered a resolution to request an Illinois Department of Transportation permit to extend a water line from the east side of U.S. 67 to the west side to provide service to a Taco Bell restaurant.
