Jerseyville City Council recently approved the Planning and Zoning Board's recommendation to approve the rezoning of 102 Sinclair Drive from B-1 to B-3 for a pre-owned vehicles sales lot.

The plan is submitted for a family-owned business run by David Stevenson, who wants to expand the business from the Alton area to Jerseyville. He and his wife will look to improve the property and become a part of the Jerseyville business community, along with his two sons. The council approved the request.

The council noted that the Illinois Department of Public Health has awarded it honorable mention for its compliance with water fluoridation rules set forth by the Illinois Public Water Supply Regulation Act.

Present at the meeting were Commissioners Kevin Stork, Steve Pohlman, Richard Perdun, Gary Goetten and Mayor Bill Russell.
