The Jacksonville Public Library Board of Directors met April 14 to approve all financial reports and authorize the payment of $53,151 in bills out of general funds.
The motion was carried with no objection.
The board of directors also reviewed the director’s report for February. According to the director, it was a fairly typical month at the library. Patrons enjoyed making Valentine’s Day mugs and over 25 people attended the program on medical cannabis.
The library also hosted a film in the Humanities Film Series, entered into partnerships with MacMurray and Illinois Colleges; and participated in the Imagine Foundation’s Downtown Gallery Hop.
