Jacksonville School District No. 117 Board of Education met Wednesday to hear reports on the Vision 117 initiative and the adoption of a Jacksonville Middle School mascot.

The board also met in a closed session in accordance with Illinois law to discuss a matter related to personnel, a legal issue or real estate.

The board meets at 516 Jordan St.
