The Southwestern Community Unit School District No. 9 School Board met Tuesday to hear reports from the May 5 policy and finance committee meetings.
The board also accepted the resignation of high school math teacher Seth Rich.
In other business, the district revised its food safety plan and issued a request for proposals for furnishing cafeteria food, milk, bread and non-food items. The district also reviewed the Southwestern School District Wellness Policy and considered a resolution authorizing and directing the sale of personal property in accordance with district policy.
The board meets in Brighton, Illinois.
