Pittsfield City Council approves new fire department funds

The city of Pittsfield City Council met Tuesday, Sept. 27 to approve funds for a new fire department.

Here are the meeting's minutes, as provided by the board:

The council is the governing body for the city of Pittsfield. Members typically meets at 7 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of each month from May through October, and at 6 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of each month from November through April.

TO: CINDY PRENTICE, CITY CLERK: You are hereby directed to call a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Pittsfield, Pike County, Illinois for the hour of 6:00 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at the City Council room, 215 North Monroe Street for the following purposes:

To pass a resolution for a Community Development Block Grant for water main updates

To approve Pay Resolution No. 3, Estimate of Funds Needed, New Fire Department Building.

A special meeting for the City Council of the City of Pittsfield, Pike County, Illinois, was held at the City Council room at 215 North Monroe Street, on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. for the purpose stated on the call. The following named officers were present: Mayor John Hayden, City Clerk Cindy Prentice, and Aldermen Kevin Ketchum, Ed Knight, Paul Lennon, Robert Ritchart, Bill Scheiwe, Robert Wilson, Kevin Wombles, and Robert Wood.

Alderman Wood seconded the motion.

The motion carried.

Alderman Wood moved to approve Pay Resolution No. 3 for the new Fire Department building.
