The River Forest School District 90 Board of Education met Sept. 19 to announce a public hearing.

MINUTES BUDGETHEARING September 19, 2016
The Budget Hearing of the Board of Education of School District #90, Cook County, Illinois, was called to order in the Roosevelt Library Learning Center, 7560 Oak Street, River Forest, Ellinois, on September 19, 2016, at 7:30 p.m.
Board Members Present:
Mr. Ralph Martire, President, Mr. Rich Moore, Secretary, Mrs. Barbara Flickey, Mr. David
Latham, Ms. Stacey Williams
Also present:
Dr. Ed Condon, Superintendent; Mr. Anthony Cozzi, Recording Secretary
Mr. Martire announced that the public hearing as advertised would proceed. Mr. Cozzi stated that a notice of the budget adoption hearing was published in a local newspaper at least 30 days in advance of the hearing. In addition, the budget had been made available for public inspection at the Administration Building for the past thirty days as required by law. He discussed that, by statute, the Board is required to conduct a public hearing prior to their final adoption of the budget for public comment regarding the budget. He informed the public that the legal budget would be filed with the Cook County Treasurer’s Office and the State Board of Education.
Mr. Martire asked for comments from the public and there were none.
There being no further discussion, the Budget Hearing was adjourned to the Regular Board Meeting.
