Canton Union School District 66 Board of Education met Jan. 22.
Here is the minutes provided by the Board:
1. Call to Order
Board Vice-President Jane Lewis called the special board meeting to order in the boardroom at 1:00 PM.
2. Roll Call
Board members present and answering roll call were: Lori Coleman, Matt Kees, Jane Lewis, Jake Snowman, and Tom Snowman. Absent was board member Leonard Barnard.
3. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag
Vice-President Lewis led those in attendance in the Pledge of Allegiance.
4. Recognition of Audience Requests for presentation on Agenda Items
There were no audience requests to address the Board of Education.
5. Action
A. Consider approval of life safety amendment for roofing project at Ingersoll Middle School
Board member Kees moved to approve the life safety amendment for the roofing project at Ingersoll Middle School as presented. Coleman seconded. Voting yes by roll call were board members Kees, Coleman, Lewis, J. Snowman, and T. Snowman. Motion carried (On File)
B. Consider Approval of Transfer of CTE Instructor Laura Anderson from part-time employment to full-time employment within CTE Department at Canton High School.
Board member Kees moved to approve the transfer of CTE Instructor Laura Anderson from part-time employment to full-time employment within the CTE Department at Canton High School as presented. Coleman seconded. Voting yes by roll call were board members Kees, Coleman, Lewis, J. Snowman, and T. Snowman. Motion carried. (ON File)
The Board discussed coaching positions in the school district.
6. Adjourn Special Meeting
Board member Lori Coleman moved to adjourn the special meeting. Board member Matt Kees seconded. Voting yes by roll call were board members, Coleman, Kees, Lewis, J. Snowman, and T. Snowman. Motion carried.
Vice-President Lewis declared the special meeting adjourned at 2:02 PM.
