City of Quincy Council met June 12.

Here is the agenda provided by the Council:

Ward 4

By Barney’s Tavern, 1708 Broadway, requesting permission to waive Section 111.096 (a) (Consumption and Possession of Alcoholic Liquor on Public Streets, Alleys, and Sidewalks and Lots) and Section 111.096 (d) (Permitting open liquor to leave licensed premises) on June 29th from noon to closing (1:00 a.m.) with proper licenses being obtained. A tent will be set up as an extension of the beer garden, fenced in with only one way in and out.

Ward 7

A revocable permit application for encroachment of city right-of-way by West Central Illinois Center for Independent Living requesting permission to place a banner across 5th and Maine promoting the annual Americans with Disabilities Act Awareness Day.

Ward 7

By Quincy Medical Group requesting consideration to vacate the portion of the east/west public alley located south of Lots 3 through 8 in Block 9 of Holmes and Woods Addition to the City of Quincy and also the north/south public alley located in Lot 14 of the same Block 9.

Ward 4

By Prairie Farms Dairy requesting consideration for a special permit for a planned development to build a truck loading addition at 2311 Broadway presently zoned R1C.
