West Central Reporter

Greenfield Fire Protection District responded to 15 calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the West Central Reporter.

The calls in Greenfield included 14 fires - four structure fires, two vehicle fires and eight other fires.

In all, the department saw $15,800 in fire loss - or about $1,129 per fire.

The department also received one false call.

The calls resulted in two civilian fire-related deaths.
