West Central Reporter

Elba-Salem Fire Protection District responded to 17 calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the West Central Reporter.

The calls in Elba-Salem included 17 fires - seven structure fires, one vehicle fire and nine other fires.

In all, the department saw $121,000 in fire loss - or about $7,118 per fire.
