West Central Reporter

Staunton Fire Protection District responded to 32 calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the West Central Reporter.

The calls in Staunton included 15 fires - seven structure fires, one vehicle fire and seven other fires.

In all, the department saw $7,600 in fire loss - or about $507 per fire.

The department also received 17 false calls.

The calls resulted in one civilian non-fire injury.
