Quincy City Council will meet Oct. 10.

Here is the agenda provided by the Council:

Ward 4 By the Preservation Preserves Fall Home Tour requesting to close the corner of 25th & Prentiss from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on October 14th. Barricades and a sign that says “local traffic only” are requested.

Ward 5 By Penny Roberts, AirMedCare Network, requesting permission to land the Air Evac Helicopter at the JWCC, 48th Street Campus, on October 17th, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for Career Days. The Quincy Fire Department will handle the securing of the landing zones during landing and takeoff.

Ward 3 By the Salvation Army requesting permission to hold their “Ring A Bell Run/Walk” on Saturday, December 2nd, beginning at 10:00 a.m. The race will begin behind the Quincy Mall, leave the parking lot at College Ave., cross 36th Street, go east on Columbus Road to 39th Street then north on to Moorman Park past the lake and around the upper park area returning to the Mall on the same route. They are requesting the help of the Police Auxiliary.

Ward 3 By Laverdiere Construction Inc. requesting consideration for a zoning change from M3 (Planned Industrial) to M2 (Heavy Industrial) for property at 3001 Locust to build a construction office, an equipment storage building, and a concrete plant.

NOTICE OF HEARING

Notice of status hearing by the Illinois Commerce Commission vs. Northern Illinois Gas Co. d/b/a Nicor Gas Company on a Petition to determine the Accuracy of the Rider 26 Reconciliation Statement in the office of the Commission, Chicago, IL on October 17th at 11:00 a.m.

RESOLUTIONS

City Of Quincy Council Resolution Authorizing Purchase Of Street Trees. (From Leffer’s Landscaping and Nursery Inc. in the amount not to exceed $15,000 for the fall 2017 City Tree Program.)

Resolution Supporting The Development Of The Bill Klingner Trail And Application For Construction Grant Funding Through The Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program With The Illinois Department of Transportation.

Utilities and Engineering Director recommending approval of the proposal from Bi-State Business Solutions, Davenport, IA, in the amount of $13,214 for the purchase of inserter/folding machine for the utility bills.

Director of Administrative Services recommending approval of Summy Tire to take over the tire contract from Ron’s Tire (out of business) through 12/31/18.

Central Services Director and Central Services Committee recommending approval of the estimate from Quincy Mack in the amount of $7,805.84 to repair Recycle Truck #119.

Central Services Director and Central Services Committee recommending approval of the quote from Trash Stickers Inc. in the amount of $14,500.
