West Central Community Unit School District 235 Board met Nov. 6.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

The meeting was called to order by President Anderson at 6:00 pm in the Community Meeting Room at the Henderson County Library. The following board members answered roll call: Anderson, aye; Arnold, aye; Bigger, aye; Clark, aye; Lenahan, aye; Lumbeck, aye; Spence, aye. President Anderson declared a quorum present. Also present was Superintendent Markey and Reatha Owen of the Illinois Association of School Boards.

President Anderson then led the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

RECOGNITION OF AUDIENCE REQUEST FOR PRESENTATION

There was no one present who wished to address the Board on any agenda items.

CLOSED SESSION

Motion by Spence, seconded by Arnold to adjourn to closed meeting for the purpose of board self-evaluation and practices and procedures as stated in the Open Meeting Act – 5ILSC 120/2(2)(16) at 6:01 pm. Roll call: Arnold, aye; Bigger, aye; Clark, aye; Lenahan, aye; Lumbeck, aye; Spence, aye; Anderson, aye. Motion carried.

Motion by Lumbeck, seconded by Bigger to return to open meeting at 8:56 pm. Roll call: Lenahan, aye, Lumbeck, aye; Spence, aye; Anderson, aye; Arnold, aye; Bigger, aye; Clark, aye. Motion carried.

FUTURE MEETING DATE

The Board was reminded that the next regular Board Meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2017. The regular November Board Meeting will begin at 6:00 pm and be held in the elementary cafeteria.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Bigger, seconded by Lenahan to adjourn at 8:56 pm. The vote was unanimous. Motion carried.
